OMG this is so confusing.?
I used to be a member but I lost my account.

Anyway, after being away for like a year, I logged in to find this confusing interface.

How do I get the old green interface back?

I don't even know where to click to view my profile.

there were some workarounds to use the old green format but those are mostly unusable now plus Yahoo will not be doing any maintenance on a redundant site - it only exists because it will take some time for the programming interface to be replaced

yes, the changes are quite drastic but we all had to figure it out by clicking on things and exploring how the new site works
====================

here are some basics on navigating your Activity Page

click on Answers Home in the left column

along the bottom of the rectangular box that has your avatar, username, join date, etc. you'll see

Points Best Answers Answers Questions

click on Points for a list of every way in which you gained points
click on Best Answers to see all the best answers you received
click on Answers for all the answers you gave
click on Questions for all the questions you have posted

under this is a toolbar with a downward pointing arrow at the far right that gives you more options such as , My Activity ,My Saved Searches, My Network, etc.

[when you click on Points as I explained above, it gives you the same info as My Activity]

in this toolbar, click on Everything for a list of all the activity on your account such as: a best answer was picked on your answered question; someone rated your answer; you answered question, "username" followed your question, etc.
====================

some recent changes that are important to know:

- there is no more voting on new questions so you should pick a Best Answer if you feel an answer deserves it

- you can pick a BA at any point in the future - there is no time limit

- you cannot delete your question after you have received only one answer

- questions remain open to accept new answers even if you pick a BA

- there are no points for answering a Q that has a BS chosen

- you cannot edit or delete an answer to an old question

- the character limit for added details in your question has been reduced from 5000 to 1500

- you are only allowed five Updates (used to be Additional Details) and the characters space is very limited
====================

if you hover your mouse over the large grey star, Follow publicly and Follow privately shows

if you wish to "star" the Q, click on Follow publicly

if you wish to put a Q on what used to be called your private Watchlist, click on Follow privately

these starred and followed Qs are found in the Everything toolbar in your Activity Page under My Followed Questions

your username and avatar will not be publicly visible if you star a Q - only a number count of how many stars a Q receives shows beside the little star icon in the link of the Q in the questions list, but the asker will see who starred it in their Everything listing
====================

you can add Media from files on your PC, such as screenshots or pics, just as if you are adding an attachment to an email

when you give someone a thumbs up, your username and avatar will appear in their Everything list but is visible only to them - they can't see if you give them a TD

an improved change is that you can remove your TD or TU or change it

I know it seem overwhelming but all that I just said I figured out on my own by clicking on everything and seeing what happened

to the right side of the rectangular box with all your stats and info in your page is Featured Content, which currently has links to three staff blogs about the new format and the most recent changes, so you should have a look at those
====================

the following are not glitches:

- the answer box is below any previously posted answers

- the asker's username is not displayed in their question - only the avatar, but you can see the name by hovering over their avatar

- there is no time date stamp to know when Q was posted - you have to go back to the Q list to see how long ago it was posted

- you cannot see what country the Q was originally asked in
====================
here is a tip of dealing with the continuous scroll so that you do not lose your place, which you will if you click on a link to a Q

click the mouse wheel and this automatically open that link in a new tab without touching the continuous scroll of whatever list of links you are viewing

when you are done, close the tab and you are still in the same place in the continuous scroll

another way to do this is to right click, then choose, Open link in new tab

GOOD LUCK! Smile

PS some people have had trouble finding their activity page so you need to bookmark it but to get the URL for your account, you have to bookmark a Q you posted or answered, log out, then go to that Q and click on your avatar, then bookmark the URL for your page - if you do this while signed in, you only get answers.yahoo.com

your URL is: https://answers.yahoo.com/activity?show=...5QDRVQ&t=g (bookmark this)

Maybe the only way left to get green is via Crome browser w/ a google-bot, or google-spider add-on.

A member posted this:

“Then I selected the emulator called ‘GoogleBot (Google’s Spider).’ This solution works for Google Chrome and I have read it also works for Firefox [in showing the Green format for Yahoo Answers.]”
