Should I create a profile on LinkedIn?
I am a college student and currently an intern for an international online academic journal. I write articles and my professor (head of the journal) occasionally sends me responses from readers sent via LinkedIn. I don't know anything about LinkedIn--would it be worth it to get a profile? I'm going into my junior year of college in the fall. Would it be useful in making connections and for communication? Could someone fill me in on my LinkedIn entails?
Thanks for your input!

I have LinkedIn and I find it really useful. It's mainly a job board so there are so many jobs to apply for, including internships and entry level.

And yes, you can network with other working professionals and recruiters on LinkedIn. It has not been of much use to me, I have around 13 connections, but maybe you can benefit from it.
But i would definitely recommend it to search for jobs

You most definitely should! Building an online presence and a network of connections for yourself can help you be best prepared for when you're looking for internships and post-grad work.
