No, if your house has wifi.
YOU MUST have wifi(Internet connection) if you don't have a cord.

First, click the wii button and go to internet connection. You may need to download an update, do it(I think it is wiiconnect or something)

Then you will find something that has about 4 different connection sites. Make sure these are all cleared. Enter your wifi internet code (the code you used to hook up your laptop/desktop computer to the internet) and then press ok. It should work, and just do anything else it tell you to do. If it doesn't work, make sure you are in a good connection area (IE move your wii to a different television)

I might be missing something, if it doesn't work, search 'connecting your wii to internet' on google. You should find something(make sure you have safe search off on google, more forums will be available)

Make sure that you have internet connection (preferabl wireless), go to the main menu anuctions on d click on the letter in the corner of ur screen go on it nd then find the cinnection, or read the instructions in the wii leaflet.
