I want purchase a community software program (for websites like facebook). What do you recommend?
I want to start a community website that functions a lot like facebook. I'm not familiar with many programs, so I'm wondering if you could recommend some programs.

facebook is not a program. it is a website, and its not ran by a program either. There are active developers who are literally 'writing' codes (PHP, XHTML, CSS, JS, AJAX) to develope facebook. Yes the backend of the facebook is ran by programs (like SQL, Apache etc etc) but those are not something that you can write this easily.

To make facebook, you gotta write scripts or use someone else's scripts. No programs will do them for you!
