HTC Windows 8x vs iPhone 5?

I'm weighing my options and I'm a little torn..
I've had a crappy slide phone for a couple years now and I'm ready for a smartphone.
I know a lot about Apple and i'm familiar with it,
but i tried of the HTC windows 8x and i found a lot of new things.
However, i'm a little upset instagram is not applicable for windows phones yet ):
Anyway, I'd like to know which has the best to offer.
Both are $199.99 with my 2 year contract promotion.

you should look into the Samsung Galaxy S3
it is also $199.99 with 2 year contract, and android phones are much better than iOS and windows phones.

since it is the holiday season, you might find it somewhere for a better price.
