how to hide profile on facebook?

i remember there was option on old version of facebook that we could hide profile and no one could find us via searching.but now adays i cant find it.does that option exist? if not,is there any solution for hiding profile?

No, Facebook removed that option a few months ago. I think their argument was that Facebook is supposed to help you connect with people, and if people can't find you, it defeats the purpose. So, while anyone can now find your profile, it's up to you to adjust privacy settings to control what they see.

The best thing you can do now is make sure that any information or posts on your profile are posted to the correct audience.. if you make something "Public" anyone can see it. You can adjust the privacy settings of individual posts.

If you go to your profile page, click on the gear on the bottom right of your cover photo, and select "View as..", you can see what your public profile looks like. If you see something public that you don't want to be, you can go change the settings of that post to make it private. Your current cover photo and profile picture will always be public, though.
