Help with promoting demo CD?

alright…so I don't wanna sound cocky or anything but we just finished a demo cd that i believe is very different, and good. i know the music industry can be very hard to get into, so does anybody have any suggestions what we should do with the demo? i know a lot of record labels don't accept them, but were just trying to get a following at this point. also i know independent labels are a way to go. but please any help is appreciated. thanks!

you need to get yourself a following, on youtube, facebook, twiiter, youtube is the best way to go, i have seen people become successfull just off of youtube alone and yes go independent, create your own website and put your music on there
