With content you can create backlinks in a number of different ways. You can place articles on sites like Ezinearticles and Goarticles for decent backlinks.

You can also throw content on websites such as Squidoo, Infobarrel, and Wordpress for additional backlinks.

The final way to get backlinks is to use a guest posting service to get guest posting opportunities, or to submit an excellent post idea to website owners in hopes that they will allow you to post on their website for a link in return.

Creating backlinks needs to be done carefully in today's post-panda culture. You need to make sure the sites that you are getting links from are relevant to your site. Other things to consider are that Google is looking at Social Signals and Google Authorrank as a way to determine your SERPS. While it is important to look for ways to build quality links, it is also important to work on your Google + profile and build an active audience.

One of the best current ways of getting links is to do guest post blogging. Find the highest PR, relevant blogs related to your website and see if they allow guest post blogging with a link back to you site. Remember, for them to let you do this, you have to provide a post with value to their blog. It is well worth it to find these blogs as they can help you grow quickly.

Another thing to consider is making your backlinks future proof. You don't want to build links that you are going to be penalized by Google down the road, like profile links and link farms, etc...

Another recommendation is to continue to research online this subject and work on providing value. Valuable content is the key. A person must provide value to people that will potentially be looking for your website. The links will begin to come naturally as you build quality content and the Search Engines see that, they will reward you. It takes time, but is well worth it.
