Cheap places to live in South America?
I'm sure there are a lot. Ideally it would be a place sea-side. An internet connection.

Would probably try to get certified to teach English.

I'm an aspiring writer. Also good at poker.

TMI ...thanks Smile

Argenteana And Venisualia if you have a way to get U.S. dollars in with out going threw a bank. They will pay 75%over posted rate for them to horde. So quit a bargan if you have U.S. cash on hand there.

Hi Harry,

a cheap place to live in South America by the seaside and a good climate is Ecuador. Argentina is also kinda inexpensive (not like Ecuador though) but you have the four seasons and the water in the ocean is always cold.

Somebody suggested Venezuela. Well, Venezuela is not exactly cheap. Actually the capital Caracas is among the most expensive cities in the world.

You can also live realtively cheap in Peru.

The cheapest places are inland like Bolivia and Paraguay. I would guess that your best option would be somewhere in Ecuador or, if Central America is all right then Panama. Argentina is cheap now, but if they can get their act together I think this is short term thing because of current government policies. The sea is not tropical however. More like a more humid California with a relatively cold ocean.
