How do I get internet connection through a peer to peer connection?
I have two computers (a desktop and a notebook) running Windows 7. The notebook has access to the internet through wlan, the desktop does not have wi-fi capability. I have connected the two using a cross-over ethernet cable. Is it possible to get internet connection in this setup?

Technically, yes. You have to look into "ICS", Internet Connection Sharing. There should be many help articles on the internet for this. The key is you need two network adapters on the machine that gets the internet, and it sounds like you do with the laptop (wireless and has a wired port). It is on the laptop that you configure ICS

If you enable ICS on the laptop it should share.
Here is how http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...f091711095 and http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windo...on-Sharing |
