How do I find other gay guys?

I'm 17 and I've tried looking here, using kik, twitter, Facebook, all that, but I find no one. I'm not out of the closet to my friends so like gay groups or whatever are out of the picture. What's left?

Once you turn 18 you will be able to use craigslist to find other gay guys in your own community. Be patient. I didn't meet my first gay friend until I was 20.

I wouldn't take the advice most people would give here. They all suggest apps and bars. For one, your too young for either of these, and second, they suck. They are filled with guys who are addicted to sex. If you are just looking for some dirty NSA hookups, I guess go for it. If that's not what your into, you'll just have a bad experience and regret it. The only other advise I can give is just do things you enjoy, and keep your eyes open. You may meet some guys who have similar interests.

Yes, guys prefer someone who's open about their sexuality, but in my experience all coming out did was get me unwanted attention from horny guys who wanted to be the first to "break me in". I came out in an attempt to meet guys, and all I got was hit on by old perverts and sluts. So if you do come out, get ready to deflect these things.

Coming out would be the best option here. If you're actively seeking a relationship being open and honest to everyone so you won't have to sneak around is the best.
