How does twitter work?

I'm entering in a contest thing and I have to use to twitter to be part of it and the contest tells me to

"Once you are following you need to WAIT UNTIL MONDAY 13th SEPTEMBER then tweet this message;

"@NanoSmartCasual follow NSC for behind the scenes coverage of Crytek + Crysis 2. I'm tweeting for my chance to win signed Crysis 2 artwork!"."

So I made a twitter account and I'm kinda computer handi-cap, so what I'm asking is do I just put the @ message in "What's happening?" bar on the home page? Or do I need to go to the other persons account page?

Hey, its the first option. Just copy that message starting with the @ and put it in the whats happening bar and twitter will take care of the rest and direct that message toward NanoSmartCasual.
