why don't celebrities block haters on twitter/instagram?

They don't have all the time to go and block every person who makes a hate comment. They could just make a new account anyways.

They're too busy to notice those haters. Plus, what if one of those 'haters' were hacked and someone was commenting/tweeting instead of them.

They'd have way too many people/tweets to go through and see who to block. Plus they probably don't even look at all their mentions, just the people who they follow (that show up in their timeline).
