Is it weird to give a guy my number over fb ?

We work together and he always smiles and talks to me but he's kinda a quiet guy. He likes every post I put on fb. But he hasn't mesaaged me or asked for my number. I don't know if he's shy or just not interested. Would it be weird for me to message him and give him my number ? Also I'm only 19 and he's 27

I think the age difference is kind of weird, but you could get away with giving him your number and not seeming weird. The girl that I've been seeing lately gave me her number on FB, but she had been chatting with me in person and on FB for a while before hand. Then one day when we were messaging she said something like, "If you want to get me [for something important] you can call or text me. 555-555-5555."

Even though I wasn't sure where she was coming from I didn't think it was weird. Good luck!
