How do I take Pictures like these people on instagram?

I see pictures on Instagram that are high quality and such, but I have no idea how to take them! Many of them are people holding things to the camera, etc. Some examples are like simplyimperf or like gulrgabby or something. Thanks!

I think that simplyimperf has a camera set up on a tripod and she may have taken the pictures using a timer on the camera, so that the picture is taken automatically after a certain amount of time, say after 15 seconds. In some of the photos, you can see both of her hands so she was not holding the camera. I think she had a camera on a tripod that has a timer built into the camera. The photos are nice. Good lighting and the colors of the room are nice. She is a pretty girl too. Probably a good camera too, a 35mm DSLR camera, not some cheap digital camera or a cell phone camera. Probably a camera something like this:

These are just hand held selfies taken on a cell phone. They are holding things in front of them, close to the cell phone. They are NOT high quality. They are rubbish!!
