why can't i find my website using google search bar?
ok i'm just getting into this making website things and i just created a free one and if i type my url into the url search bar i can find it but if i try to do a broad google search i can't find it. like i will write out a ton of stuff corresponding to my website but it never can find. is it because it's a free hosting domain thing or wat? here's my website you can try to search it yourself but i don't think you will be able to find it either. it's basically a blank page so yeah here http://magswimming.007sites.com/Homepage.html

I wont go to your website, but google will not list it if it does not know it is there.

Google will eventually find your website and index it. It could take weeks or months.

I had a free website a few years ago and it took at least 3-4 months before I could locate it in Google.

What you have working against you:
It's a free website and has very little content.
So if you google something like "Anime" and expect to find your site listed, you would probably have to search through a few million links.

Google gives precedence to websites which are not free and have a good deal of related content.

You could paste your website address to this site here and it will check how you are ranked or if you are ranked yet:

It takes time and dedication to get a very good website up and running, and listed in a good spot.

Good luck.

You need to search engine optimize (SEO) your site. All of the sites that are ranking on the first few pages of Google all have SEO.

Google and other search engines use complex algorithms to rank sites. And these algorithms are always changing. Search engine optimizing your site adds the key components Google uses in its algorithms, therefore giving your site a higher ranking.

The first thing to search engine optimization is choosing one or more keywords to use. These would be the search terms people type into the Google space bar that brings up the related websites.

Once you know what keywords you're going after, write lots of RELEVANT content using your keyword many times appropriately.

Next is getting back links. Joining forums, social bookmarking sites, and submitting articles about your site to directories are some ways to achieve this.

Twitter is one of the biggest things about to explode on the internet. Lots of people use it right now but it will soon be one of the most relevant social tools on the internet. Add a twitter widget to your site. Get followers by following others.

I don't know if you're doing the HTML coding for a free site, but if you are, make sure your coding is correct as well as your meta tags.

And lastly make sure you submit your site to Google so it will get its pages indexed.

A lot goes into getting a page ranked in Google. If you don't SEO your site, you may find your site but it will be on something like page 44 where no one else will find it.

Good luck with your website. Just know that it takes time since Google only crawls your site every 7-10 days or so. But if you put forth an effort, you can get on page one! Smile
