On Vine, what does revine do?

It has a button saying you can revine the persons video. What does this do? And is it better to get more likes or more revines?

The REVINE button REVINES THE VINE. Which means that it's "reblogged" and that means that you are basically "reposting" it for YOUR followers so they can see it too. Different social media sites have different words for that. Revine is for vine. Reblog is for tumblr. Repost is for instagram.

And both likes and revines are good.
