Plz! Help me on how to send this file?

I have recently sent a windows movie maker file of size 7.2 mb as an attachment through gmail.
My friend downloaded it from the mail. The downloaded file was also 7.2mb but when it was opened it was blank without any picture. Does compressing it and sending it as a zip file solve the problem?
If not please suggest any other way. I dont want to convert it into a video because it becomes large io size

Send it on fb privet messege. Or you can upload the video on fb and set privecy so that only you and her can see it later she can download it if she wants
