How many Facebook pages would 100mb last me?
I'm thinking of getting a certain mobile phone which includes 100mb internet data usage. I'll only use it occasionally to check Facebook whilst I'm out and about. Approximately how many pages of Facebook's mobile page will I be able to view with 100mb per month?
Whilst at home, I will be using my WiFi to surf the web. Ads |

depends on the size of the page. If it's got loads of images and video, then not much - if they are mainly text, then you should be able to access plenty.

Good question, so I set aside a decent portion of my time to help you out. I did some tests on my phone to get you relatively precise answers, here is what I found:
Refresh Newsfeed: 57kb Check Notifications: 39kb View Picture: 100-500kb (a lot of variables involved) Post on Someone's Wall: 25kb All figures are averages of 10 trials to get you accurate measurements. Keep in mind that it will cost you 5 mb to download the app initially. I do not do much more than Facebook, check email, listen to the occasional song, and check the weather, and I average 750mb of data per month (to give you some perspective). If you want my opinion, I think it will be difficult to get through a month on only 100mb of usage. I hope this helps, if you have any other specific questions, feel free to ask. |
