i have a dell laptop and when i get on the internet everyonce on a while it will go to no internet connection?

i have a dell laptop and when i get on the internet everyonce on a while it will go to no internet connection?
and it will show "limited" access. why doesn't it stay connected to the internet?

Is your computer hardwired or wireless to your router/modem? Check the IP address when it does not connect to internet. If it is 169.254.x.x, then you need your connectivity issues. If not, you may want to ping your gateway upto any websites with their IP addresses and then with hostnames to check where it is dropping.
