Why is it that some people don't put their marital status in fb?

I like this guy, he invited me to his fb, but his profile doesn't say anything about his sentimental situation, whether he's in a relationhip with someone, he's single or what...
Why do some people omit this information in their fb profile?

maybe the guy doesn't want a relationship, that's why he didn't have any stats on.
try asking him personally. he'll notice you more, then.

Because Facebook isn't a dating site. People use it as such but it's not. Facebook isn't everything. People don't have to put anything on their page if they don't want to. It's a privacy thing, and people just are more strict on that. If you're wondering, ask him. If you like him then surely you must know him in some way or another and therefore it shouldn't be too hard to ask?

you'll have to ask him- some people feel like, 'why should every person- many of them strangers- on fb know my personal info?!' or he could be married/ in a relationship & hiding it- need more info to know fer sure, so you should just ask him, once you get to know each other a little, through chat, whatever, & the time is right...

sometimes people dont know what to post, they dont whant to be lame or boring or seem like a looser without a relationship. Another reason is, if u do have a relationship, your keeping it quiet cuz ur embarrased of the person, or your not ready to scream it to the world cuz you dont know how the other person is going to react, or worst of all, they are in a relationship and they whant to cheat.
Or they might not care that much about FB to make every single detail about themselves open to the world, privacy issues, conspiracy believer etc.
Just ask the guy what his deal is. (about his relationship NOT why he didnt post it on fb!!)
