I find Facebook is better for keeping up with people you know and playing games while Twitter is better for keeping up with celebrities and other people you don't know

Twitter doesn't have all the crap. The stupid apps and game requests are for Facebook only. And you can post pictures to twitter but there aren't any photo albums. Instead of friends you have followers which means someone can "follow" you and see your tweets but you don't have to follow them.

One you follow pretend friends the other you follow celebrities as if you are friends. I see a pattern forming

Facebook on the other hand is for people who are social animals providing a base to interact and stay in touch with old friends and to make new ones.Twitter is better for receiving quick, direct responses due to the 140 character limit. It helps for keeping updated on your friend’s activities in an hourly basis since most posts involve going to class or watching a movie. Facebook helps display pictures, send personal messages and talk to distant friends and relatives. It’s useful to check it once or twice a day for anything unexpected like engagements.

Twitter is less about social friendships. People make connections on Facebook with friends, family members, and other people that they care to keep in touch with. Twitter allows people to follow important topics, people, and conversations that are relevant or interesting to them. It's a much more detached connection.

Here I provides some information:

1. Timely matters versus timelessness: While content on Facebook is timeless, the information on Twitter is always here and now, important and relevant, and constantly changing.

2. Facebook is where you lie to your friends and Twitter is where you're honest to strangers.

3. Facebook is the people you know, Twitter is the people you wish you knew.

4. Facebook's focus is on socializing with friends and family, Twitter has evolved from an update network into a powerful social marketing platform.

5. Facebook is very popular but mainly in young people while Twitter has skyrocketed in popularity and is even used by famous people and politicians.
