Why can't I connect to the Internet?

I can't connect to my home wifi through my laptop. So I tried connecting through my phone's wifi, and I still have the same problem. With both connections I'm told that it's limited. Can someone tell me how to fix this.

Perhaps there is a problem with your settings. Trying finding an identical laptop running the same operating system, that does have the workable wifi capability and match the settings. That is how I resolved once before.

If your Laptop and your phone cannot connect to your WiFi, then the issue could be with your Modem / router.

Turn off your Modem first, then turn off your router. Wait for exactly 1 minute. Now turn on the modem. Wait till almost all the lights on the modem gets steady. Now turn on the router.

If you have a combo modem/router then you just need to turn it on and wait a minute and turn it back on.

Check whether you have WiFi connectivity on the Laptop. Check if you can access the internet.

You may also have to configure the settings on your phone as well. After doing this check if you phone can connect to the internet.

Check if laptop gets internet with cable.If yes,the there is problem with driver or wireless nnetwork adapte:
1.Driver you can update
2.Adapter most likely can't be fixed but yo can buy USB Wireless Network Adapter
