SEO: Is The Job Market Dead?
This is a very serious question that needs to be asked. I currently own three(3) websites that rank in the top 15 with Google, MSN and Yahoo. I understand SEO: content, meta tags, link building and so on.

Problem? It seems that more people are willing to pay nothing for something. People from countries such as India are becoming a major problem. They are willing to complete SEO work for a cheap price. Forums such as digitalpoint are NOT helping the problem because it is free and allowing those who think they know SEO to offer their services at a cheap rate. Mean while those who are hiring are still not understanding you get what you pay for.

Yes, I do excellent work including sending out well writen proposals. It is becoming frustrating that I have to deal with those from India, Russia and etc.

The best SEOs don't make the bulk of their money from providing SEO services to clients.

They make most of their money from SEOing sites that they own, which are often affiliate sites, drop-ship sites, MFA sites etc.

SEOing for clients is just extra income on top.

Take this site for example, one of the many sites owned by two well known SEOs http://www.myweddingfavors.com/

All the products are drop shipped so all they do is SEO and promote the site. It turns over nearly a million dollars/month.

If you go to any good SEO conference you will find all the top SEOs with sites like these.

There are two kinds of SEO, those who really know how to do it and those who think they do!

we know this as a game, I am a coder in rentacoder but the problem is the cheapest bid always won on the project almost 90% of it.

points taken:
1. regardless of the quality, individual now fall on those cheap unqualitative work.
2. countries value for USD and way of living. Meaning if 10$ is nothing in US, 10$ is already something in India
