Does GPS on nokia c7 need internet connection?

I have a nokia c7 and it has a satnav on it can i use it outside without an internet connection or will i have to get internet from t-mobile. And will it give me directions if i dont have internet connection.

u first need to download ur country/region map using wlan or on ur pc then transferred to ur phone via usb cable. Once u do that, u can use the map and navigation offline with no internet connection on ur phone.
