I managed to talk to this girl who kept staring at me since October, but it was a bit brief, need some advice?
Very quickly:

1. A girl has been staring at me since October 2013
2. I always looked for any opportunity to talk to her but never found one.

Now to the point of today: Basically we had a test today and the lecturer gave us an hour to study, I spent some time helping this girl to remember some information, it's not much, but I am going to think of it positively and call it a starting point, at least it's just not the staring now and I can say we have spoken. But obviously I would like to continue talking to her but how do I continue, I will next see her on Monday and we have another test then, I think I will just ask her if she is ready for the exam. Some people said that if I am still feeling shy or nervous I should add her on Facebook and message her to build up my confidence, is that a good idea? Any advice would be great Smile

Facebook is tricky, I vote no for facebook. Be prepared in advance, like if you ask her to dance be prepared for her to say yes, and be prepared for her to say no. If you ask for her number, be prepared for yes, be prepared for no. Keep in mind someone can reject something about you, that doesn't mean they reject you. If you ask her out dancing and she says no, she is rejecting the dancing not you. ask her to the movies or the mall instead. If she is shy, I would ask her to do something with a group of people as opposed to one on one things. She might feel better at a school sport event or dance than watching movies at your house. Watch TV or movies and see how the characters interact with each other. Watch how your family, church members, people around town interact with each other. Practice, it is all about practice. Practice with family or friends, like if you went to a dance and asked someone to dance, practice what would happen if they said yes, practice what would happen if they said no. We all fear rejection, we all are afraid of saying something stupid, but if that happens, just laugh it off and move on. Everyone who reads aloud in church goofs a word, even the Pastor, we all know how that feels, but you laugh and keep moving forward. It is like the quote….”Be who you are and say what you feel ‘cause people who mind don’t matter, and people who matter don’t mind.” Dr. Seuss. Go to polls and surveys and answer questions so you get good at answering random questions. Write down questions that are fun and interesting to you. Y/A has an entertainment section with categories like jokes and riddles and polls and surveys. It is always good to have a good joke, so copy them down so you don’t forget the punch line. Polls and surveys has a lot of good questions and they change all the time, so it is a good source for questions to ask when the conversations stall.
