What should I do in this situation?

Here's the story, I told one of my friends who I like, me and her were good friends we talked alot and got on really well, my friend ended up telling everyone I like her and now the whole school knows basically, Im pretty sure she knows too because shes gone quiet around me whereas before she talked to me alot and couldnt shut up at times, now shes really awkward around me and try's to avoid me, I think she might like me because she looks at me alot and used to flirt with me, now she still looks at me but avoids talking to me, anyways what should I do in this situation? All answers appreciated thanks

Act cool about it. If other people make fun of you just remember that you have someone that likes you.

Do you have her number (or both have accounts on Facebook etc)? If so you can start a conversation there. Start with something simple, then develop it from there. (This will make her start to feel more confident with you). Then when you see her at school next (after a few long conversations- at least 2), smile at her when you catch her eye (and/ or pull a funny face)! Then later on (after more conversations online/ text), go up to her and talk to her when shes alone! Start with something simple or something related to your previous conversation!
