Google Chrome won't open home page?

When i start up Google Chrome web browser instead of showing the homepage it shows a page that says:

Index of C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\2.0.172.39\

Then it has little links to other folders. its very confusing.

Anyway, this happens whenever i open a new tab too. I've fiddled with Chrome's settings and nothing helps.

Un-install and re-install Google Chrome. This will do the trick.
