Trouble with my hotmail and outlook email accounts?

I signed up for some hotmail and outlook accounts a few years ago when outlook first came out. Problem is, I haven't used them since. Now, I am trying to log in, and it doesn't recognize my user ID and password anymore. Are my accounts deleted due to inactivity? Were they reassigned after a few years? Thanks.

Contact microsoft customer service. They do inactivate accounts after a few years. There is a way to reactivate your accounts.
