I updated my computer and I think it somehow deleted the entire contents of my downloads folder?

I have an HP computer (not sure which model) and the other day I went into my downloads folder and it said it was empty. I never deleted anything, and it was soon after I updated my computer. I checked my recycle bin and nothing from that folder was there. I use Google Chrome and was able to access and recover some of my downlads and I put them back in the folder, but I would like to know where the rest of them went! If you can please help me that would be great!

When you update your computer operating system windows replaced your system files so you your backup lost ....

Nextime take your backup to other drive

Try the option of System Restore if you are running your PC on Windows 7. then your modifications can be roll backed by this feature and you can get your downloads folder back.
