laptop really slow! google chrome keeps crashing?
My toshiba laptop is really slow! Google chrome kept crashing. I stopped several programmes from running at startup like windows troubleshooter suggested. Still no good. So I uninstalled chrome and went back to internet Explorer and its even worse? I no longer have the installation cd to do a factory reset. Avg detects no virus? And I did the avg fix pc issues and it says your pc is now running faster... nope?? It does say internet Explorer is using a lot of memory?? Can anyone help? If so please explain it as you would to a small simple child!!! :/

When you restart your computer, press F8 many times.
See if you can get to somewhere that says Repair my PC;
from there you should be able to restore your PC to factory settings.
But make sure you backup your files as they will be deleted once the factory restore is completed.

This could be an act of a virus, if you somehow could download a anti malware program called malware bytes and run that program on your main drive, probably Local disc C that should fix the problem, i know this because i recently helped another friend with this exact problem.

Most Toshiba Laptops come with a recovery partition pre-installed.
1. Shutdown the computer.
2. Press and hold 0(zero-key) then power on the laptop while still holding 0.
