Aren't Macbooks Good or Not?

Everyone is always debating against Apple Computers and Laptops to other brands. My family likes both and are always debating which is best. I'm still in school and need a new laptop for it not for gaming to be precise with my description. I heard that it's very portable,light, and very fast. Should I get this? or should I get like a Windows Surface 2? Or what.

They are good indeed, high quality parts make for expensive machines. personally I don't prefer any platform, but I do like Windows and the mac OS both.

I have a pc but I have tried a mac. I prefer pc in most ways as I am familiar with it. the only thing I like more about mac than pc is the program garage band. there is nothing like it for pc. also, it seems like most developers are more focused on designing programs for pc more than mac.

you can get an emulator for mac that runs it like a pc and it is legal.
I do not know about pc to mac emulation though.

If you're in it for gaming, laptops are probably better. Windows runs more games than Mac by default. Apple is highly specialized hardware, which means that it won't work with anything else. I'd prefer a laptop for playing games, because it has a keyboard. Know what you can and can't do, and what you want.
