High school crush question?

So long story short, I've been having a crush on a girl from my school. Consider my move rather stupid but that's what I did. I was too shy to go and tell her at school so I decided to use facebook as my means . So, I sent her a friend request and a message explaining her that I wanted to tell her something (not straightforward) but made it obvious. She didn't understand who I was (I've never spoken to her neither did she) cause I didn't have a profile picture at that time. So, I sent her one through chat. Well, that's where it stopped. She didn't say anything else after that. Like it froze on my pic . The next day at school, things also looked very normal. She didn't seem uncomfortable around me. Like she couldn't recognise me. It was way odd. And this is how things are as it's been two weeks since the situation. What's your point of view on the matter? Why does she act like this? Maybe she's scared? Maybe she just doesn't care? Should I make another move close up or call it quit?
