Skype - Can i use skype with a satellite internet connection?

Can i use skype with a satellite internet connection
I live in remote area of Australia with only Satellite internet connection, can I still use skype.
Are there any problems doing so.
Is Skype as good as they say it is.

You probably can use it on your internet connection. I tried Skype a couple of months ago and used it to make a call from the U.S. to Mexico. It worked great but I couldn't afford the per minute rate that they charged so I canceled it. But the clarity of the VoIP was great and I had no problems during the 10 minutes that I used it. (They give you 10 minutes to try it out for free when you first sign up for their service).
