Bobby Ryan is off the market?
Via Kypreos twitter: "#Ducks GM Bob Murray has assured Bobby Ryan he is off #NHL trading market today. Also told Ryan's desire to be moved is no longer an issue." -

Turns out he was unhappy with Coach Carlyle and the hiring of Bruce Boudreau will keep the winger in Anaheim. Thoughts?

Honestly that makes me a little angry all i picture is that kid that comes on here and said he doesnt want to be the teams captain anymore because the team complains too much... why would you have such a conviction about not wanting to play for one guy that you make it widely known that you would like to be traded away that you dont want to be on the team at all and then as soon as they fire the guy your now hunky dorey about being a duck..

This just screams only child syndrom my way or highway childish behavaior im glad that punk is off the market let him keep his whiney little ass in the coast..

::Further ranting:: boo whoo your making 3.5 million dollars suck it up and dont complain about one aspect of a giant corprate franchise... i thought he wanted to leave to be on a more compiditive team and find a team to grow his roots into for the rest of his carreer.. that i could respect..

I'm Sad. I thought the Leafs would have chance at him. He is my favourite Duck. But there were a lot of other North East teams looking at them so at least there isn't a risk of him coming to one of them

James is probably right. I just watched Ducks GM on sportscentre. He sadi that if we recieve an offer thats goign to make the team better, we will take it, no matter who the player is. All they are waiting for is a team to blow their minds with an offer

Very relieved. As good of a player as he is, the Rangers would lose much more than they'd gain if they had traded for him

I never had much thoughts about him leaving or staying to begin with since I knew the Wings weren't looking for a player like him. Now, when Shea Weber is being rumored for a trade then I'll pay a bit more attention lol

That's good for Anaheim. He's a talented 30-40 goal scorer. Without him, wouldn't really hurt them, but with Ryan, it would help them a lot. They just need the Perry-Getzlaf-Ryan line to produce more. When these guys are producing, I think this is the best line in the league.

I think we can say he's off...for now. I think Boudreau will turn things around but if the Ducks keep slumping, I can see him being traded away.

(facepalm)

Never believe what a GM says- Bobby Ryan is still on the market 100%. The reason Murray said hes off the market is to drive up his trade value for the other teams, its all a game of poker dude. In poker you never show your hand or a position of weakness, same goes in hockey if you say a player is on the market or YOU are the one to make the trade calls, it puts you at a weaker barganing position.

I'm willing to bet a team(s) made an offer and it was shot down (because Murray didnt like the offer) hes now sending a message that if you want Ryan you have to give up a certain amount.
