Finding companies to advertise on your own websites?

Finding companies to advertise on your own websites?
Hey everyone,

How do I get in contact with companies regarding the possibility of having their firm advertised on my website?

I am getting tired of using Google AdSense for my websites and feel like the collection of sites are large enough and popular enough to interest large companies about potentially advertising on my sites. My sites draw 3 million unique visitors a month and 20 million total page views a month. The sites also have their own unique Facebook pages which total over 730,000 fans.

70% of our websites' visitors are males and the most popular age bracket is 18-24 years old. The average duration for a unique visitor is 2 1/2 minutes and the bounce rate is 42%, which I believe is generally low. With those demographics, I am thinking of contacting companies that the average 18-24 male would be interested in such as beer, energy drinks, music, soda, cigarettes, video game studios, movie studios, and other similar companies.

If you have any suggestions as to how I could come in contact with these potential advertisers on my sites, they would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance
thank you for the suggestion of using buysellads.com. have you had any experience with using that broker, positive or negative, that you could tell me about?

Most large companies don't do their own advertising, they employ ad agencies to do that for them, so you could try approaching some of the larger Ad Agencies. You will need to send them a "media pack" which basically set out to sell your site to them as well as giving all the factual stats. Most Media Packs now tend to arrive in the form of pdfs.

If that doesn't work (or as well as that) there are some brokers online such as buysellads.com who you could use.

There are hundreds of google adsense alternatives, but i suggest you to keep adsense using more than one advertising platform. The best are adbrite and chitica
