What is wrong with my tablet?

My nexus 7 tablet has been running just fine, until today. I just turned it on and everything keeps on "unfortunately stopping" EVERYTHING that i open, closes up immediately and says for example, "unfortunately splashy fish has stopped" I am typing this on my computer right now because obviously Google chrome will unfortunately stop. So how could I fix this? and what is wrong? I cant send it back because I will be taking it to Washington dc next Thursday. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
I WILL NOT RESET IT! I am not willing to lose all of my data.

Here is a list of things that should fix it...
1.) download clean master
It will free up ram, close apps running in the background, delete
unnecessary folders, etc.
2.) download an antivirus
I use avast which seems to work. You could possibly have a
virus from a visited site.
3.) go to settings, apps, running
Here you can see the things that run in he background that
could be affecting app usage
4.) check for an update
5.) if all else fails, you may need to reset the tablet
