should Focus KW on Wordpress be one keyword or multiple keywords?
I am creating a website on wordpress and trying to figure out SEO.

Focus KW - In this section do I entire only the main Keyword Phrase? Or do I insert multiple important keyword phrases? Also if I insert multiple keywords does it matter if I use a comma or semicolon in between each phrase?

Thank you!

It's good to have a primary subject/theme for a site which can help search engines as well as users better understand what they will find on the site, but a single keyword is usually too narrow a focus, (one exception are micro niche sites that may use an exact keyword matching domain name, very effective at one time adjustments are probably being made to lower to the effect of such domain names,)
Commonly webmasters might research and compile a list of around 50 target keywords that they would like to rank for, often larger competing sites prevent your from effectively ranking for the ideal keyword like "Weight Loss", ranking for 'long tail' keywords like "Natural vegetarian weight loss diets" will have less competition, indicated in part by the number of results Google shows for a search, it's a common practice to feature a keyword from your shopping list in the meta title, header and body text of a page.

I'm having an issue with the Focus Keyword on WordPress SEO plugin - sometimes works, sometimes doesnt.

I'm admin and I can see that it works (it gets green if I have the kw in the right place) but then a user with only author rights sees it all RED.

This is a big problem for me, I'm trying to make a point and instead look like a newbie without an answer...

Did anyone encounter this problem? How can I fix it?

Thank you,

Focus keyword should be only one.. So that Search Engine better understands for which keyword your page should be displayed in search.. It will be better to use some synonyms of focus keyword in the article body.

Submitting and using articles with keywords is the first step of SEO. It is important to understand the concept behind SEO keywords, which is to get the best search engine optimization that you can from your articles. The search engines use these keywords to place your web site in the results rankings. The more SEO keywords you have that are hit by the search engine, the better your chances of having higher search engine rankings. Not only can having the right article marketing techniques get you higher search engine rankings, it can also attract more visitors to your site. Providing quality content on your web site is an important part of having an online business. Small business owners sometimes struggle with the idea of having to be writers, editors and marketers while trying to run their business. There are professional services that can be hired to write SEO keyword articles, and market them for the business.
