Computer Keeps getting Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). What to do?
I recently home built a gaming Pc, for the first week my computer was working perfectly with no problems at all, but then... well it decided it wanted to continuously crash. I have been trying to solve this independently for a couple of weeks and have managed to make the crashes far less frequent in some way or another. I have used WhoCrashed to try and find the source and it now comes up with the recurring theme of windows faults. Google Chrome stops working after a while and so does Internet Explorer.

Specs:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)

Motherboard: ASRock 960GM/U3S3 FX Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard

CPU: AMD FX-4300 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor

Graphics Card: XFX Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB Video Card

Memory(RAM): Corsair XMS3 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1333 Memory

Power Supply: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Hard Drive: Seagate Momentus 750GB 2.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Previous two crash reports:

crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntfs.sys (Ntfs+0x168AD)
Bugcheck code: 0x50 (0xFFFFF28008E9E4B0, 0x0, 0xFFFFF80002EF7FE5, 0x7)
Error: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ntfs.sys
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT File System Driver
Bug check description: This indicates that invalid system memory has been referenced.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver on your system that cannot be identified at this time.

crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\030514-25880-01.dmp

The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

I am not sure what to make of this information since it seems as though it could be a problem with either windows 7 or one of my drivers?
I am getting really confused and frustrated with this as it just doesn't seem to go away and would like some kind of solution to this problem I having.
I have Norton as my anti-virus, forgot to put that in :/
^
I no longer have Norton as the trial actually just ran out so now using avira
I have also performed multiple full system scans when i had Norton and nothing came up, it said it was clean with no virus'

When in doubt, blame it on the video card. (I have no reason to think a legitimate copy of Win7 would just go berserk on you.)

See if you can get an updated graphics driver.

Hi Myles
you don't mention any anti virus software. the operating system is corrupted. so time for a software re-build and buy some decent anti-virus. have you not learned that lesson yet.

The problem seems to be that something is waking up your PC from sleep mode when it should not and it cannot do it, and that is the source of your problems.
Very hard to pin down the problem, I had the same thing on 7 recently, but after a few updates it seems to have gone away but have a look at this link anyway;
