Why does the text format change drastically when I forward an email?
Whenever I forward an email message using my YAHOO! email the text format of the original message changes drastically. If the original message has any images or form-type formatting it turns to nearly unreadable gibberish with MANY extra lines and spaces inserted. This started happening after I was finally forced out of the classic version. It happens in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome. Is there any way to retain the formatting of forwarded messages?
Is this really what YAHOO! mail labels as support? It seems to be where questions go to die. In an attempt to further insult me, I just received an email from YAHOO titled, "Heads up, you may want to extend your question". In that email it tells me to breathe new life into my question by using the Action Bar to extend it for another 4 days. WHAT ACTION BAR??? Maybe if YAHOO! returned to the classic version they wouldn't be overwhelmed with questions and problems. Ads |

It sounds like you are using Basic Mail mode rather than full-featured Yahoo Mail. Basic Mail limits some of the features of Yahoo Mail. In this mode the original email is also displayed only as text when it is forwarded.
For more information on Basic Mail, including how to switch back to full-featured Mail, I recommend that you take look at the help article here: Switch between basic and full-featured Yahoo Mail https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN15090.html I'm also sorry that you've been having a hard time getting assistance with this question. Yahoo staff is here to answer questions and provide support. Please write back if we can offer any additional assistance. Ads |
