My internet connection symbol in the top left corner is white and not blue, how do I fix this?

If you're running Android 4.4 (or newer), also known as "KitKat," the icon is supposed to be white--it won't change to blue anymore. That's a change Google made from 4.3 to 4.4, along with the transparent status bar and navigation bar and the new condensed Roboto font on the home screen.
