Problems with signing up for Tumblr?

I've been trying to sign up for Tumblr for a couple days now, but w/e I try I get "There was a problem logging in, try again later." After the first several times I got this I waited a full 12 hours then tried again, and I still got it! Then I tried on my phone and sure enough I get the similar "Incorrect Email Address or Password. Please try again." - And I'm not even signing in, I'm using the Sign-Up. I've double checked and I'm definitely using an active G-Mail account which has not been used for a Tumblr account and I'm entering the correct Email URL, no errors. The password also exceeds the password requirements. What is the problem here?!

You might be too young for tumblr, you have to be 13. When I signed up, I accidentally typed in 12 years old and the same thing showed up. I had an active email and everything too, then I tried again and it worked. So if you put an age under 13 you won't be able to make an account.
