how do i offer my services chainsawing?

currently looking for some extra cash on the side i own a chainsaw and i thaught to my self why not offer my services to people that would like logs cut and split for fire wood but i have no idia how to ask around i live in the uk scottish borders

Do you have a local newspaper that has a classified ads section? Maybe you could place an ad there. Does your library or any of your stores have a bulletin board on their wall? You could ask if you could put an ad there.

you would have to get the appropriate insurance before you did anything with it but then how about becoming a tree surgen and chopping/trimming trees for people?
