Is it normal for a 40something man to be so women obsessed?

I dated this man for a while. he is divorced. 42...
He is a very caring guy in general - was always willing to help if i needed.
However..it seems like he fancies every other female. By that i mean seriously like every ok looking woman.
When i was with him it was driving me mad. On his facebook or instagram, he would like every photo of a woman, and if it was a bit raunchier he would be right there liking it and commenting on it.
Is this a normal behavior guys? do you all do this even if you are with someone?

Insecurity rules OK. Some people react to divorce this way.

My wife knows that I fancy skinny redheads and when out shopping she often digs me in the ribs and gives me a redhead alert.

Yes, that's normal. However, most of us do at least have the decency not to advertise the fact, especially to our girlfriends, or to act on it.

He's divorced and going apeshlt over women. He's totally out of line doing these things when he's dating someone. Apparently, he's too emotionally immature to know how to treat a woman and how to issue self-control.

Move on and don't worry about his stupidity. Testosterone is dangerous in the wrong hands!

its not un common for guys to want his cake and to eat it at any age. specially when coming out of difficult marriages/relationships. fillings ones boots is quite normal.
