How to take a picture without taking it?
Lmao it sounds stupid but i really love Lana Del Rey and her pictures with the vintage look. I want to take pictures of myself but not a "selfie" or i don't want someone else taking the picture for me. Sometimes i would like to show off what i'm wearing like my favorite shirt or dress x-x
I dont like taking mirror selfies.

I have a camera and a phone Tongue

Like if you dont know what i mean
this is what i mean

For example @Slutfactory on instagram i love her pictures they are so beautiful Especially those faded filters.♥
Again i don't want someone taking a picture of me.
I sound really slow and stupid i know Smile

If a photographer is not taking shots of you, then you are by definition taking "selfies"

There is no middle ground.

The important things about any portrait, self or one shot by a photographer is the lighting, choice of lens, exposure, limitation of any distracting backgrounds and direction of the mode or subject.

My guess it that you do not have any knowledge of how to light a portrait, how to assure that the background is neutral and how to direct yourself into an amazing pose.

Until you have at least some of those skills, coming up with a brilliant shot of yourself by become problematic.

Put your camera on a tripod (or some stable surface) next to a mirror. Focus on the spot where your eyes will be when you pose. Use the self-timer. Quickly go to the posing area, and watch yourself in the mirror until you look just right, and stay in that position until the camera does its thing. Repeat until you get something that looks good. It will probably take a while
