How do you choose a wired (ethernet) connection in Windows 7?
I see my wireless connections but my HP computer can't seem to connect to the internet using the wired connection?

Step by step guide or a link would be really helpful.

Mr.Joel you can get two way wired connection into your laptop 1-Through the router/ 2.Direct through the modem or wall.

@Through Router : Connect your laptop directly with router by Ethernet cable with one of four Ethernet port back of your router. Then just power cycle all devices one by one.Restart your modem then after router and then after Laptop definitely you will get internet.

@Through Modem: Wire which is connected between your modem and router, disconnect that wire from your router and plug it to your laptop or desktop pc. Now power off your router its important .Then just power cycle devices one by one.Restart your modem and then after Laptop definitely you will get internet.
