why does facebook messenger freeze my iphone ?? please answer?

OK so i have a iphone 3g and i have installed the facebook messenger app and when i try to scroll down to veiw my messages it wont do anything then it freeze and do nothing what is causeing this to happen to my iphone when it scroll down to see my messages is there a problem with app i have not had this problem before i have only had this problem i dont want to have to delete the app what can i do to fix this problem please answer i need help to fix this problem ??

Unless your phone is at maximum capacity, i doubt it is down to you. But i would try restarting your phone all together just to refresh it. It was happening on my iphone the other day too. I deleted and re installed the app but still had problems (you can do this, it will not affect your facebook page or friends list etc, it is safe to delete and re install), but then i looked on the app reviews in the app store and many other people were having this problem at the same time. So i put it down to the facebook developers yet again messing around with the app and causing problems. bare with it, as it does not always crash so much!! lets hope they sort it out. ps mine is working fine now, i hope yours is too!
