How do you uninstall Google Chrome?
I want to uninstall it and have tried everything that I found on the Internet (basically this: http://www.wikihow.com/Uninstall-Google-Chrome) and nothing helped. On the fourth method, the link has changed so it's not possible to use the method. Help!

You can remove Google Chrome like any other Windows programme. Follow these steps:

Close all Chrome windows and tabs.
Go to the Start menu > Control Panel.
Click Add or Remove Programmes.
Double-click Google Chrome.
Click Remove.
Click Uninstall from the confirmation dialogue. If you want to delete your user profile information, like your browser preferences, bookmarks and history, select the "Also delete your browsing data" tick box.
Windows Vista/ Windows 7/ Windows 8

Close all Chrome windows and tabs.
Go to the Start menu > Control Panel. (Windows 8 users: Learn how to access the Control Panel)
Click Programmes and Features.
Double-click Google Chrome.
Click Uninstall from the confirmation dialogue. If you want to delete your user profile information, like your browser preferences, bookmarks and history, select the "Also delete your browsing data" tick box.
If you're having problems uninstalling the browser using these methods, try manually uninstalling the browser instead.

You might try simply disabling it.
Go to Program Files and find Google Chrome.
Try to delete its individual files. The ones that will not go away change their names by adding an x at the beginning or anything else.
Q: Do you want to save space or just not have it not work?
The above method will not do the former but should handle the latter.

Any uninstaller will not fully remove it and neither will windows add/ remove programs.

Enable "show hidden files and folders" in folder view options.

Here's a list of files and registry entries to look for and manually delete:

http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/Google-Ch...ogram.aspx

Then check for Chrome Extensions that might remain:

http://www.howtogeek.com/140464/how-to-m...extension/

Then remove googleupdate.exe and delete the scheduled task and start up entry:

http://www.askvg.com/how-to-remove-annoy...le-chrome/

Then reboot.

Then check for any remaining registry entries using RegSeeker:

http://www.hoverdesk.net/

Then use SwiftSearch (run as admin) to search for any file or folder containing the words "chrome" or "google".

http://sourceforge.net/projects/swiftsearch/ (run as admin).
