How do you reconfigure an internet connection?
I just performed a system recovery and the internet isn't working. So I looked it up and it said that I may need to reconfigure an internet connection. So how do I do that?
p.s. I have a cable internet connection. Ads |

If your system recovery restored your computer back to "new" condition, you may need to also get out the cd's for devices like your cable modem to restore their functionality. Also, your cable internet company may have given you an installation cd, be sure to also run that one if so. You can tell whether or not your devices attached to your computer are working or have proper drivers installed by going into control panel, then system, then device manager. Look for any icons that have a yellow triangle with an ! on them. If there are none, then all your devices are working properly.
Once you've done this, and all your necessary device drivers are installed (including drivers for your wireless router or wireless card/receiver if applicable), go to control panel, then to Network and Sharing Center or Network Connections. Run the wizard to set up a network or connect to the internet. |

if nothing the other people have said try
from start menu run type in cmd then type ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew maybe that'll work and or if not just reset your modem and restart your computer and if problem still exists just call your cable company and it should only take about 2 minutes or so to get you rolling again |
