My Wi-Fi internet is being controlled !?

My house Wi-Fi internet is slow when ever I surf the internet with my phone or laptop
Can you please help me how not to be controlled so that I can have a better internet connection + can you teach me how to do that too if you can. Your help is really appreciated a lot Thanks !

plug your laptop in directly via Ethernet to your router and run

speedtest.net

then go onto wifi again and run the same test if the speeds are the same then you need to speak with your ISP if they differe you could purchase a new router that supports 802.1/n (faster wireless)

Slow internet is not a sign of being "controlled". It's most likely a bad connection.
This is probably due to a buggy modem/router (reset it), bad internet provider or slow package, too many people or programs (including malware) using the internet or a bad wifi signal.

If all those things check out, talk to your parents (or the NSA)

you think someone is using your wifi

if that's the case change your wifi password

ask to the people from where you bought the modem

and check your wifi speed change the connection pack

like i use 58kbps net speed which i pay 12$ per month

for 1mbps i must pay 20$ per month .. you can have faster internet and browsing

Are you being controlled because of previous behaviour? Hogging the connection? Torrenting so much that no-one else gets a chance?

I'm not saying you have done that, but we get a lot of questions on here about how to control people who do, and we answer those questions by telling them about switching on QoS (Quality of Service) in the router, which makes sure everyone gets some service, preventing any one person from getting it all.
